Two cows were bought and given to our Sambhali Sheerni Self-Help group women of Setrawa village.. We hope to continue and serve to these vulnerable women and girls with your generous support.

15 of the Sambhali Sheerni educational program girls went back again this Sunday for a follow up medical camp organized for vaccinations, dental checkup by Sri Swami Maheshwarnanda Austria Hospital, Jadan,Pali. Rekha in the picture before her dental checkup.

Volunteers:

Anke and Katja, two actresses from Germany are teaching theater at the Sambhali Jodhpur empowerment center for three months. The first batch of participants learned issues related to women and girls in the patriarchal society but interestingly behind a curtain in a sound, light and shadow show.. Very interesting and new concept for us.

Our new women and girls empowerment center Mehrangarh has been established today on Teachers day at Fort Mehrangarh for thirty five women and girls who are wives and daughters to the men working at this majestic fort..

We have conducted a few hours camp for the teenagers and their parents. The camp was organized for the participants and their parents of Sambhali Jodhpur Empowerment Center. We are thankful to the Psychologist Ms. Reena Bhansali for sparing her precious time for helping the trust.
Our second Sambhali boutique is at the Mehrangarh Fort of Jodhpur.. We will run this here in September 2012, November 2012, January 2013, March of 2013 on alternate monthly basis.

Today, Honorable Chief-Minister of Rajasthan Sh. Ashok Gehlot came to the premises of Nari Niketan (Women shelter home) to put the foundation of old people home and visit other programs of the department of Social Justice and Empowerment. On his visit he visited Balika Grah too, a home for girls under care and protection, while here he witnessed the work done by Sambhali Trust.

Take care, my friends...
