Happy March to all of you!
Our annual meeting took place yesterday with the
trustees, staff, volunteers and our dear advisory board member Mrs.
Ramona Saboo of Forty red bangles. It was a good meeting and I am happy to have all of them on the Trust's board.
In February, our project co-ordinator Mrs. Mehta went for a workshop organised by Rajasthan consultancy organisation limited for women nominations to participate in central government sponsored one day workshop on "building awareness among women consultants in India" in Jodhpur. These kind of workshops helped us very much this year for capacity building of the organization. She was glad that she could go and learned a lot.

Setrawa:
We wanted to inform the community of Setrawa village in the thar desert about the development work our trust was doing for the villagers. We thought of inviting them one afternoon at our women and girls empowerment center. We simply wanted to talk to them over Chai and Parle-G (cookies). We were very touched with the kind response of the community.
We decided to do some more field work in the
village we work in and meet the women at their homes to conduct an
awareness program. We used visual aid to help teach women basic health
and hygiene and talk about conservation of water.

Scholarship Program:
This year we have few students passing schools to attend universities. We are very proud to sponsor them through the help of our sponsors. We need your help to sponsor a few children again this year, these children are poor and cannot afford school. Their mothers and sisters are part of Sambhali Trust's empowerment centers. We want to help them by giving their education for adoption and with your help these vulnerable children can study and have a hope for better risk free future. We will be able to provide pictures and profiles of the individual children you will be helping. Please message us for more details. We hope to hear from you.
Great news!!! Award for Sambhali!
Today, we all were even more honored and proud to be working for the empowerment of Dalit
women and girls.
We got awarded for social work and Dalit women and girls empowerment by the Devraj (Rajput) community living in the 23 villages around Setrawa village. Finally after seven years, a great relief to feel the acceptance by all.

International Women's Day:
Sambhali celebrated its International Women's
day by a breast cancer awareness workshop for its participants of
Jodhpur Empowerment center and the Graduates.. Thanks to Nathalie
Cardinaels from Belgium for making it possible.
